OpEx Services is part of the OpEx Group which is “Focussed on Operational Excellence” in the New Zealand industrial and manufacturing sector.
OpEx Services has been created to assist small and medium sized industrial and manufacturing organisations improve their plant performance by providing the knowledge, skills and ability to effectively manage and implement the day-to-day maintenance services that their operational assets require. By leveraging off the knowledge and expertise within the OpEx Group, OpEx Services is able to provide to its clients the benefits that are typically only enjoyed by large industrial and manufacturing organisations.

Mike Killick (MBA, BE.Mech (Hons), M.MESNZ, M Inst D) is the Director / Co-owner at OpEx Services Ltd and is one of New Zealand's leading Asset Management experts. Mike has a Masters of Business Administration, an Engineering Degree, is the Chair of the Maintenance Engineering Society of New Zealand and a Member of the Institute of Directors. Mike has consulted to many leading industrial and manufacturing organisations within New Zealand and Australia.

Alex Hopkins (MBA, NZCE.Elect, NZCE.ComTech, M.MESNZ) is the Director / Co-owner at OpEx Services Ltd and is a proven leading Maintenance Manager within New Zealand. Alex has a strong and credible background in applied maintenance management having held senior management positions at Anchor Products and Carter Holt Harvey Ltd. Through this experience and knowledge, Alex is well positioned to develop and implement the necessary business policies and processes to assist in Creating Operational Excellence.

Mick Bates (TechIOSH, NC Mech Eng, NVQ Mech Eng,) is a Project Manager / Advisor at OpEx Services Ltd. Mick has a comprehensive understanding of the health, safety and maintenance management requirements within industrial and manufacturing operations. Having strong leadership and communication skills, combined with his practical knowledge in real world situations, Mick is ideally suited to assist our client’s develop and implement a variety of systems that are focussed on “operational excellence” within their business sector.
Steve Beckett (Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma (Green Belt)) Steve Beckett is an Operations Analyst at OpEx Management Ltd and specialises in the area of Operational Management and Lean Manufacturing within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Steve is an experienced manufacturing team leader and member who has well developed skills for analysing and resolving complex issues and has a proven ability to develop skills quickly to a high level. Steve joined OpEx Management Ltd in August, 2010 after many years in the industrial manufacturing sector.
Mayank Katira (MEM, BE.Prod, Dip.Prod Eng.) is a Maintenance Analyst at OpEx Management Ltd and specialises in the area of business analysis systems and maintenance analysis within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. In this role, Mayank acts as the lead implementer and on-going support service provider for information management systems along with the undertaking Maintenance Effectiveness Reviews and providing implementation support activities for Maintenance Improvement Projects. Having a Masters of Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Production Engineering degree, Mayank’s operational skills and experience, together with an attention to detail, will further ensure that our client's assets are
operating at their optimal performance through the implementation of
“customised” best practice asset management programmes.
Rob Payne (OND Mech Eng, Cert Eng Mgt) is the Maintenance Planner / Maintenance Technician – Mechanical at OpEx Services Ltd. Rob has a diverse range of skills from within the industrial and manufacturing sectors having been a Marine Engineer through to a Maintenance Manager with good experience in project management and operational management. Having worked in a number of industries, Rob has an excellent understanding of the importance and need for good management systems and processes in order to be able to develop, implement and then manage a successful maintenance reliability programme.
Gary Thomas (NZATC, M.MESNZ) is the Maintenance Services Co-ordinator at OpEx Services Ltd. Gary has excellent operational and maintenance experience in maintenance planning, facility and equipment shutdowns, asset management and CMMS development. Gary's practical knowledge in these areas is complimented with his understanding of maintenance best practice methodologies and how these can be practically applied within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
Gary Wood (Cert Eng Mgt) is a Maintenance Planner / Engineer at OpEx Services Ltd. Gary has a diverse range of skills from within the maintenance management, maintenance planning and fleet management sectors having been in the British Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Having worked in challenging environments where equipment reliability could be seen as a matter of life or death, Gary has an excellent understanding of the importance and need for good management systems and processes in order to be able to develop, implement and then manage a successful maintenance management programme.
Andrew Woolley (ME.Mgmt, BE.Mech (Hons)) is a Project Manager / Adviser at OpEx
Management Ltd and specialises in the area of business centred asset management
within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. In this role, Andrew is involved heavily
in project and contract management as well as the review, planning, development and
implementation of business models and programmes that focus on improving business
management processes and the performance of operational assets.
Having a Masters of Engineering Management and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
degree, Andrew’s technical ability and business management experience ensures that
our clients’ operational performance is always maximised to produce optimal project
outcomes.
